Grumpy Cat. I love.

The internet is a haven of escape routes. One of the most popular getaways the internet offers is a comforting false sense of peace and some laughter. Okay not 'false' but a true sense of peace!
It creates entities and characters larger than life and friendlier than friends.
Case in point - Tardar Sauce a.k.a Grumpy Cat.

Do I like cats - No.
Could I learn to like cats - Maybe.
Grumpy Cat - Loove!

GC or as I would probably fondly call her - 'Grump' is a crazy cool cat who's been doing the rounds on the internet for a while now. In an age where video/audio and pictorial sensations go viral and die a fast death, Grumpy Cat or 'Tardar Sauce' or 'Tard' for short as her owners call her, rules the roost through all social networks consistently. This is so for a simple reason - she shows enthusiasm and emulates the absolute truth.

Have you ever been scarred? Learn from Tard

Who da boss? Uhhh...Tardar Sauce.

Best candidate ever

Honesty policy.

And...the OSCAR goes to...

If you haven't fallen truly, madly, deeply in love with Grumpy Cat and haven't yet changed your Blackberry display picture to one of her then you my friend are in dire need of some vital life lessons.
A session with Grump is prescribed.

Given that the joy of baking may dethrone Grumpy Cat's inherent world view, I picked something that just may make her happy - Rocky Road Bars. GC would say 'Rocky Road Bars for you. Only Trump gets smooth sailing'.
On that note, here are the Hummingbird's famous Rocky Road Bars -

700gms milk chocolate, roughly chopped
4 regular sized chewy, filled chocolate bars of your choice, roughly chopped (eg snickers, mars, crunchie, etc)
50g marshmallows
90g chocolate-coated malt honeycomb balls (Maltesers)
90g dried apricots, roughly chopped
90g raisins
50g cornflakes

Put the milk chocolate in a large saucepan over medium heat and heat until melted and smooth, stirring occasionally.
Put the chocolate bars, marshmallows, honeycomb balls, apricots, raisins and cornflakes in a large bowl and pour in the melted chocolate.
Mix with a wooden spoon until everything is well mixed and the dry ingredients are evenly dispersed.
Press this mixture a prepared baking tray, using a tablespoon to flatten and compress it.
Sprinkle with chocolate vermicelli all over the top.
Leave to cool completely then cover and refrigerate overnight.

Even it is a rocky road road, might as well enjoy it!
