It's how we LIKE things

I love watching trailers. I like the effect that a 2 minute video that is basically marketing a longer version of the same has on me. Good trailers make me go from curious to skeptical to worrisome to goosebumpy. And when that happens, I feel like I've witnessed something epic.
To others the same may never happen. 
I would say they're missing out on some good goosebumps!




My mother likes chewing gum. If there's a stick of gum lying in my room, I can be assured I'm never going to find it as my mom would have gotten to it in some way or the other.
Other 48 year olds would probably have much to say to gum chewers. 
My mum would probably stand in front of them looking guilty.

A few days ago, I heard that a friend of a friend of a friend likes playing with lizards. 
Yes, I mean LIZARDS. The creatures are his friends. 
Airtel would probably say every friend is necessary. But, lizards?

My Kamali Chithi likes eating Maggi raw. 
What is cooked food when you can eat raw. 
Right Kamali Chithi? 

James Bond likes his Martini shaken not stirred. 
Hey boys, why do you still love beer?

Bappi Lahiri likes his gold!
Sorry! He LOVES his gold! 


Shweta Bangale likes cutting hair. She put her MBA aside and went back to being a student...of hairstyling! Today she cuts, shapes, colors and more with an exuberant smile!
MBA grads may shake theirs heads at this but who really has the courage to shake off being a corporate slave and do what they really want? 
Who really knows what they really want?


I like cookies.
They are warm and friendly and bring back a lot of happy memories to me. 

So, since I LIKE/LOVE cookies, here are some chocolate-chip ones from Hummingbird's stable!


Ingredients:
225g unsalted butter, at room temperature
350g soft light brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
400g plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
225g dark chocolate, roughly chopped 

Preheat oven to 170°C. Put the butter and sugar in a free-standing electric mixer with a paddle attachment and cream until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well and scraping any unmixed ingredients from the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula after each addition. Turn the mixer down to a slower speed and beat in the vanilla extract.

Add the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and mix well until a smooth dough is formed. Stir in the chopped chocolate until evenly dispersed.

Arrange 6 equal amount of cookie dough on a baking tray. Make sure that the cookies are spaced apart to allow for spreading while baking. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 min or until golden brown around the edges and quite flat. Leave the cookies to cool slightly on the trays before out onto wire cooling rack to cool completely. The cookies should be soft and chewy.

Keep an eye on not using too much Baking soda as the cookies may taste a little acidic.
